I see your selling your 1D3. Sold it yet ? Been a few on E-bay. I sold mine yesterday. Getting a Mark 4 in a few weeks. If no one buys my Essex housing, it wont really matter, the 1D4 will fit in . Gunna get Mike to add a video button - cool eh.

I have probably sold it.. there is a lady who is very interested in it.....

I am going to get a back up 7D... I have found this to be a great camera... and for the price I can afford to have 2...

I guess your using the 7D behind the 400 2.8, whats the keeper rate when in AI servo?

I hope its a lot better than a 30/40/50D. OOF with those bodies were like 50%. I`m going to get a 300 2.8 in a few weeks aswell.

the keeper rate is just as good as the 1 series... I used to use a 20D on the 400 and noticed a difference when I went to the 2N.. but the 7D is just as good...

mate your gunna love the 300.. tho paranoia levels will increase....

I took my 7D to the beach this arvo, for the first time. Looking at the files on the computer, the keeper rate is amazingly 99%. Thats pretty good for this little toy camera compared to the 1D3. Ive stunned myself. Maybe I don`t need to by a 1D4. Spend the $$ on some better glass I think. Now I`ll have to speak to Mike to trade in my housing for a new Essex 7D. Oh yeah taking video is a little harder than you may think. Knowing the right settings does help, speak to Mark on that one I think. A tripod helps immensly and working out how to focus. But the quality of the footage = crystal clear when in focus, will be a bit of fun next time I`m swimming at my reef break. 8fps sounds a tad slower than a 1D2 but the frames still roll off and AI servo works a treat.

yep... exactly.... I was thinkin about the 1d4 but the 7d kinda surprised me.. I was just gunna use the 7d in water and nowhere else but it has shown that it will be my main camera.. So i figured I may as well get the second so I will never be without a water body.... I tend to lend bodies (or hire) to others....

The video will require a bit of study on my part but I will eventually master it... (he said with crossed fingers)
